Private, custom tours include pick up and drop off at your hotel or B&B, a professional tour guide/driver, tour admission to (2) distilleries, a cocktail or tasting at (1) distillery, and a stop for lunch. A touring day typically lasts anywhere from 8-10 hours, depending on where you stay and the distillery region you visit.

We recommend 3 months advance notice in order to reserve tickets to your ideal distilleries. Tickets sell out, so we recommend booking soon!
Tour tickets are subject to 6% KY sales tax. Driver is gratuity is up to the discretion of the client and can be added to the invoice or settled up at the end of the experience. Cash is preferred.
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to make the initial reservation. The deposit is applied to the total cost of the tour. Remaining balance is due no later than 2 weeks prior to touring.
Vehicle is strictly reserved for allotted hours according to the pre-planned itinerary. Additional transportation will be billed at a rate of $100 hour.
Private bourbon tours with BourbonTown Tours range from $275 to $425 per person depending on group size and number of distilleries. Price includes luxury transportation, a dedicated guide, all distillery reservations and tastings, bottled water, and snacks. Larger groups pay less per person. Call 1-844-BOURBON for an exact quote.
Most private tours visit 2-4 distilleries in a full day. Ron typically recommends 3 for first-timers. That gives you enough variety without hitting a wall by the third tasting room. Each distillery visit runs about 60-90 minutes including the tasting.
We recommend booking 4-8 weeks in advance, especially for peak season (April-October) and weekends. Some popular distilleries like Buffalo Trace and Maker’s Mark fill up months ahead, but we can often get reservations that aren’t available to the public. Last-minute bookings are possible on weekdays.
Yes. We provide door-to-door pickup and drop-off at any hotel, Airbnb, or address in Louisville, Lexington, Bardstown, or the surrounding area. Airport pickup is also available for fly-in guests.
Never. Every BourbonTown tour is 100% private. Your group, your vehicle, your guide, your itinerary. We never combine groups or add strangers to your tour.
After 3,000+ tours, Ron has built relationships with every major distillery in Kentucky. We can often secure reservations at distilleries that show as sold out online. Tell us your must-visit list and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
